Not an expert but first never use a boat hull as a ground. Ground side only to the battery negative.
I think I would insulate these 2 metals.Be sure the anodes on your motor are in good shape and bond the motor to the pontoons.
Not sure what to use to insulate.Maybe wood with
clear epoxy coating.??
