Marine grade plywood is not necessary for seats. Exterior grade plywood has the same waterproof glue at about 1/4 the price per sheet. The only advantage to marine grade is it is a bit stronger due to the care taken in the layup of the laminations. Pressure treated plywood with a couple coats of Thompson's Water Seal is best for seats if they are to be covered. Rot problem solved.
