Hi Dave, Another alternative to the good suggestions made by Spike and Rich M,would be to get a couple of sand bags like the highway dept.use to support temperary signs,and put 1 or 2 in the bow.Just take them out when you have a passenger.The bags wont scratch or dent your boat like a solid object could.Plus---the bags and the sand are cheap.I use them in my canoe and a 14 ft.fishing boat that only has a 5.5 H.P. motor.
