You better check your electric wiring first, as said to you earlier. Next you can take and clean the area real good and use JB WELD under water repair, it is some time hard to find but it is out their. I have filled holes ware cleats and other bright work was and had no problems and also rivets that were leaking. I have a 30 ft. Marinette that I have filled all the holes from older hard ware and no problems. It is a strong product and works great and can be sanded and painted. Best of luck Denis
