first off you cannot cut down a v bottom hull and make a tunnel hull out of it cause the hull design is wrong and it wont plain. it will act like a v bottom full of water. second you cant under power a tunnel hull. i dont have any faith in home made tunnels, they are very high tech and you cant just make one up like other boats. i have run tunnels that were set up right and they will blow v bottoms out of the water. i dont know how you plan on filling the tunnel but i beleave i would put on a jack plate to raise the motor, if it didnt work i would scrap the project. good luck
