I think it has been parked near a baseball field. Pretty dented up. I know the deeper dents are also in a state of greater hardness than the surrounding metal. I was thinking of annealing with a torch ( using a temperature indicator) I thought I might start the return of the metal to position; then anneal, then finish tapping it to original form. Ihope to get the metal close the hardness it was manufactured with. This extra effort is to hopefully not super harden areas and possibly cause stress fractures. Some of these dents are in 1/4 inch or so. Anybody done any annealing and hammering on these aluminum canoes? I am a goldsmith by the way. Tim
