Well I have found that heat on the aluminum is not the best as it does change the hardness. I have used a air chisel on hard deep dents with a blunt bit and a piece of hard wood and have taken out them without heat. It does not change the hardness and also does a good job. I have take out base ball bat damage as it was done to a friends boat, bad woman and to much fishing and not on the lake. Try different air pressure at first till it does the job as not to hit it to hard. Denis
