Who the heck thinks this stuff up anyway. The 1848 max is 40hp, but the 1860 max is 80hp. One foot wider = twice as much hp? Give me a break. No I dont plan to use it all. But I can. Also a big motor just loafing along will get better mileage and last many times longer than a small motor always ran on the edge. I work with pickups all day, ask the guys with the 90+ ford xc with a 302 what kind of mileage he gets (11-13) then ask the guy with a 351 (13-17). I think a bigger motor will get you better fuel usage, alot longer life and you will never wish (I had a 70). Good Luck, Monty
