I just bought a 15 ft jon boat it has a wood deck in front and rear and a wood floor in center. Will a minn kota 55 lb thrust motor push this boat around if I'm not in a hurry? I just want to fish some smaller lake in GA that don't allow gas. I'm thinking I can use it on the stern to get across the lake and then move it to the front while fishing the banks. Maybe I should by a smaller one for the front if it could move the boat around. Any thoughts on this. I'm kinda new at this. Thanks.
