I placed a 6" long and 2" wide peice of wood (it was a rectangle wood spike) next to the rib on the floor (long part against the rib). I then drilled a hole through the rib, parallel to the floor. I then put a screw through this hole and screwed it into the wood. Two screws in each peice of wood and a piece of wood in each corner. I then had something that I could screw the flooring into, yet remove if needed. The channels in the bottom flooring of the boat still allowed for water to drain. I can also still use a leaf blower or car wash sprayer to remove debris.
