I would suggest either the 24 to 36 volt motors with at least 65 lbs of thrust on the front with either of the long cord or cordless remote foot controls so you can control the motor from anywhere in the boat.
I can tell you from my own experience of fishing electric motor only lakes in a 24 foot aluminum boat for over 10 years, when the weather turns ugly, it makes all the difference in the world when you are trying to get back to the launch area. I moved up from the 12 volt to the 36 volt size three years ago, and I'm really glad I did.
