Sea Worthy 16' Aluminum V-hull

Anybody have any advice on an aluminum 16' with a deep V-hull that would do well in the ocean on a fairly calm day and to be used in the sound and inlets of the North Carolina Outer Banks. I'm thinking of going fiberglass, but really like the light weight aspects of aluminum which would enable me to launch from the beach. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
