repairing lower unit keel - aluminum?

I have a 140 hp Johnson V4 and I had a minor accident with some shallow rocks. There was no real damage to the prop, just a small bur. But, the fin on the bottom of the lower unit is bent slightly and the back tip snapped off (about an inch). I have the piece.

Is it possible to heat and straighten this fin? Can the tip be welded back on? The aluminum appear pretty brittle.
