40 HP Merc., what to service, maintain?

I have a 17' semi V hull boat with a 40 hp Merc 2 stroke on it. I just got boat a few months ago - will be in water soon! :) Besides flushing motor with "ears" and hose and keeping stern drive oil level full, making sure plugs clean(platinum), what else can I do to make sure it stays in tip top shape?
