A few questions regarding restoring an old Starcraft

I recently purchased a 21 ft. 1968 Starcraft Cheiftan, and would like to know if there is any literature available for this boat anywhere (Original manuals, photos, wiring diagrams, etc.). Starcraft's website just directs you to dealers. It has a 4 cylinder Mercruiser that some idiot left the plugs out of since 1987. I was planning to get a remanufactured engine and outdrive. Is this engine still readily available ? I believe it is actually a 4 cylinder Chevy engine. It does have a Mercruiser Plate on the side as well as a Delco Remy alternator. Thanks !!
