I know they have the Y bone in them and it is hard...I heard boiling the meat or pickling works, but I wanted to make sure that this was right or if there was an easier way before I tried and ruined the meat. I caught a 40inch 8.6lb Northern Pike. I was able to get 5lbs of filet from the fish. Thanks!!!
