in reply;the motor is 75 hp mercury i bought it from an older gentlemen.the motor will start in the water but will not idle and when you try and give it gas it dies out.and then if you try and start it again it sounds like it is flooding out and will not turn over till about the fourth try.but it will start on land and will idle and give it gas and it runs great till you put it in water. can you tell me what years mercury made a 75 hp. bill
