First Bill mercury started making the 75 4 cyl in 1984-1986 then went back and forth 3-cyl 70-75, 1987-1989.Merc also made the dock buster MK 75 in the late 50's . If it will not crank in the water I think I would be checking out how deep you are getting engine sounds like a very steep ramp and engine is getting power head submerged on launching. when this happens have you pulled plugs to see if they are hydraliced?
