2000 Evenrude 4 stroke oil sheen

I have a fairly new (about 10 hours) 2000 Evenrude that I've only put about 10 hours on...if that. When I stop there is a light oil sheen from the motor. Could I have not broken it in properly and wrecked a seal? The only mod from stock is I added an electric start kit.
