Aside from the fuel pump suggestion below, make sure your fuel delivery system is free of clogs and air leaks: Tank, hose, bulb, connections, filter. Squeezing on the primer bulb will help determine if you have a fuelpump or air leak problem i.e. if the engine continues to run while you are squeezing the bulb.

Make sure the vent on the tank is open. If it is a self-venting tank, make sure that the cap is not rusted or clogged with debris.
