I have an old motor, dunno what it is, only # I find is on freeze plug, 0243888 any ideas from this?

I did see a carb on ebay today, description says it was used on 5hp of various names late 40s to mid 50s, closest thing I have found matching it was a Sea King but most 5s have a shift, this don't, turn around for reverse! twin cyl, can post pics if it would help!
