winterizing 7.5 mercury out board

I have a 7.5 Mercury out board that I need to winterize. When going to replace the gear lube in the lower end, I only see one hole (at the top) that says "flush" adjacent to it. I see no bottom drain hole in which to induce the grease. I squeezed lube into this hole and it came running out the bottom end through a vent. I know its not right. question #1)
did I hurt anything by putting grease through this flush hole? #2) Where are the lower end fill and drain holes on this motor?
