If what I have been told is correct, then your motor is an 1988. I was told that Evinrude uses a code to determine the year made. The code is INTRODUCE. you find the letters of the word INTRODUCE in your motor's seral number and when you find the letters together, you find them in INTRODUCE. your two letters next to each other are CC and C is the 8th letter in INTRODUCE.
