Not sure of an electric start kit but, I have a 1975 6hp that I cut a hole in the front side of the cover, put in a chase nipple (electrical fitting that is like a short pipe nipple) that lines up with the carburator intake so it's easy to give it a squirt of starting fluid with out pulling the cover off each time.
