The Boyesen reeds are mad from a fiberglass and are desighned to withstand breakage and bending. If they do break though they will not damage the inside of your block like the steel ones do. I have saw some scoring inside of a block from a broken reed. Qote from the manufacturer. Can Boyesen reeds harm my motor? Absolutly not! In fact they are safer than stock metal reeds. If a metal reed breaks it can destroy your engine. But should a boyesen power reed fail, due to its glass and epoxy construction it would go though your engine like paper through a shredder, causing no damage to engine's expensive internal parts. |
