I think we better check for a possible fuel or cooling problem.Gearcase problems don`t typically
present themselves as bogging down.Fuel starvation typically the motor will run normally
in neutral,but will bog down when put in gear.
Put the motor in gear and see if it appears to turn freely by hand.Try hitting the choke
when running see if it responds better.If it responds to the choke there is a fuel supply problem.A cooling problem is usually pretty obvious,weak telltale, steam.Normal temp the head will be too hot to hold your hand on but not so hot it burns your hand.
