Reference my original post on gear box problem:

I've done some more work on my 1972 (Chrysler) Sea King 9.6 -- making some improvements.

1 -- Since I refreshed the Permatex gasket on the impellor housing, I'm getting a good water flow, both when immersed in a barrel and when out on the river. The motor stays comfortably warm, not overheating at all.

2 -- I've changed the in-line fuel filter and flushed tank hoses; all seem clean.

The motor seems to develop full rev while in gear and sitting in the barrel (ashore). But it doesn't develop full power when put in gear while out on the river...
My next three steps will be to blow out the carb, replace the short fuel hoses inside the motorhead housing, and blow out the filter at the fuel pump.

I'm assuming that I have not fully clear a fuel flow problem. I'm hesitant to crack open the fuel pump itself -- as parts are hard to find on such an old motor...

I'd welcome any additional advice you may have.
Thanking you in advance,

Bodean
