Evinrude 15 in storage since 1992

I had my 1985 evinrude 15hp fogged and boxed up by a shop in Seattle in 1992. I just bought a 12ft valco and want to use my motor. Should I bring it back to a shop and have it serviced? It ran like a top before it was fogged and I don't want to take a chance of trashing it. What should I have done to it. Thanks
